Back to the Basics
As we grow and mature, it's easy to feel like we're above learning our craft from the ground up again.
When you play a piece of music, you might think you know it, but when you look closely there are still passages that give you grief.
Now it's time to get the mental magnifying glass and sandpaper out, and start working at it carefully. You slow it down and really find where things are falling apart.
Would it kill you to take a course that goes over the fundamentals of your craft all over again?
If you want to put this idea into action, go to Khan Academy and study some basic arithmetic. You'll learn ways of adding and subtracting that you were never taught as a child. Maybe try your hand at algebra?
Armed with this skill of finally becoming good at math, you never know what sorts of projects you can improve.
Never be afraid to go back to the basics and adopt the Beginner’s Mind.
