Clearing the Blocks
The daily work that needs doing
Every day begins the chance to remove the blockages that are holding you back.
To write this letter and send it to you, I need to remove the blockage of talking about blockages.
We are the ice pickers at the end of the winter. We chip away at the things that no longer serve us.
You might not write about blockages or bottlenecks like I do, but you remove them for other people in your Most Creative Work.
These are the people who you show up for every day. Your people.
Ask yourself what you are doing as an obligation today, and what is it that truly needs to be done?
The work that no one can replace you in doing. The work that makes you one of a kind.
The Final Stretch
When you get near the end of a mini-project, the mind likes to fuck around.
It comes up with useless ideas that will get in the way of finishing. Don’t listen to it.
Tell it you will take that feedback for next time but you’re out of scope.
