Easy Does It
The common beginner’s mistake in golf is thinking that you have to murder the ball with your club.
Yet a golf ball is light and a driver is a giant hunk of metal. So the more you try to kill it, the more problems you create.
And by more problems, I am referring to an increase in swaying off of the path that is going to make the ball go straight to the target.
So if we rewrite this expression, it will look like this: Take it easy so that you can stay on target. ‘
If you hit the ball straight but it doesn’t go as far as you imagined, you’re still in the game.
If you hit the ball far, but it has a curve on it because you swayed off your path, you are in the trees and you’ve lost a stroke.
And you often only get four or five strokes, so losing one for no good reason is going to set you back.
This post is text only.
By prioritizing the act of writing it and sending it to you, I am taking it easy but making sure it gets out the door.
Creative people are often perfectionists. This is a bad habit that we all have to kick together.
Easy does it. Keep your mind and body balanced, and send the ball straight to the target.
