Harnessing Power
From the Book of Spirit
We all possess infinite power inside of us.
The power to create harm or to create good.
Continuing on from the Infinite Power trail, I want to double-click on what it means to possess power.
This is the gift you are given. What the religious texts refer to as something along the lines of divine enlightenment handed to you from a bearded man in the sky above.
Yet you can also find that power when you awake in the morning and tap into stillness. Train your mind to focus. To put aside all the things that are going on at this moment.
This is what Eckhart Tolle refers to as the Life Situation. He asks you to look for Life beneath the Life Situation.
The idea of Focus is another component of this power. Our focus is all we have as creative people when it comes to getting the job done. We can direct energy into a small area and light it up like a kid burning an ant with a magnifying glass.
A common way to lose this power: Getting caught up in noise. When my body goes too fast in the golf swing because I’m antsy to put a ball as far as I can, the swing goes out of whack. When everything is timed in proper proportion, the power is harnessed.
A busy and overthinking mind is prone to attracting noisy situations. Left unchecked they become toxic forces in the form of addictions.
The goal of each day is to maintain your centre. Take breaks when you need to. Go for nice walks now that the weather is much better.
Pace yourself, and don’t let anyone steal this power from you by treating you any less than what you’re worth.
Hold your ground, stay in the centre.
