A friend recently told me that she has an employee who is not getting it. This is frustrating my friend and she can see the effect that a weak link is having on her team.
She can’t let the person go because her boss wants to wait and see how it will play out even though it’s obvious this is a bad fit
My advice is to let go of these situations as fast as you can. They are out of your control. The more you push the farther down into the ground you go.
Just have fun with the awkwardness of the situation. See how you can learn from it for the future. And do whatever you can to bring some light and humour to what’s unfolding.
I can’t tell you how to do this. I can only give you the suggestion.
Lots of things have happened to make this moment. You didn’t make this moment, you are only the one experiencing it.
