Moving Water
This morning I was watering some succulents using the ‘bottom-up’ method. I immerse the entire pot in a larger bowl of water and wait for the soil to soak completely.
When we get started on our journey, either for the day’s work ahead or for a new project, we are bone-dry soil.
Yet when we sit with the problem long enough, the water starts to make its way through the network.
And just like watering these succulents, it only takes about 10-20 minutes for the systems to turn on and start engaging new ideas.
If you are slow to load today, or this month, don’t be hard on yourself about it. Look at your past work, or other work that inspires you, and see if you can let the water move its way up to the surface.
