Scaredy Cat
But scaredy cat no more
Creative people are often scared to bother others.
You are worried that the other person is busy or that you will put them in a bad spot having to consider your offering.
I wouldn’t expect anything less from a personality type that naturally thinks deeper than most of the population.
You think so hard that some days it feels like you could take down the Golden Gate Bridge with the power of thought alone, and not in a good way 😁
This is where thinking reaches its limitation of being useful.
It was nice when you had to figure out how to not get locked into the garage by accident, but now it’s just turning you into a hot mess.
Don’t make up other people’s minds for them. “They couldn’t possibly need this thing right now”, or “They’re busy spending money on sales this season”.
Don’t make your offering suddenly unavailable when people show interest in it, or even worse discount it to the price of 0 when that happens. It’s fine to offer things for free but it’s not fine to set a price and then remove it when you get closer to a sale.
Don’t get so close to launching something and then talk yourself out of it for no reason whatsoever.
People are happy to spend money on items and experiences that bring them joy, offer health benefits or help them develop critical skills. They’re just not spending it on you (yet), as they’re probably pissing it away on something else.
It’s your job to offer something of value, and repeatedly communicate that value as often as possible (also referred to as “educating”).
And if that makes you feel icky because sales is typically done by white men in suits with no conscience then let’s go over your 10 most recent purchases and we will see that even you too are subject to these laws that govern the movement of money.
Know what you want to achieve, and then do your best to remove thought as you move through the items to get it done.
You have to break through the phase of making the thing, and you also have to break through the phase of promoting it.
Someone has done it before, so I’m sure you can do it too.
