Some days or weeks we don’t get the chance to do our most creative work. Yet we can still come up with ways of remembering what it is we do.

That thing is like a cheat sheet for how you show up.

Write it down and make sure you can see it.
There are apps like Widgetsmith (iOS) that let you put slogans and statements on your phone’s home screen. Any sticky note app will do the trick, and physical Post-it notes are even better.

And ironically for this newsletter, nudging you to think this way is that thing for me.

I have to remind myself that this is what it’s all about: Being the friend that helped push along projects that no one else asked you to push along or even thought to ask for a status update on them.
