From my recent interview with Marlo Fisken:
I'm very motivated by the impact that I can have on other people. A lot of my work to show up and train for myself. It has to do with the fact that I'm also, you know, there I am to some people lead them and inspire them.
And I think that there are people that are waiting for somebody that looks like and has the life of each one of us that they want to see that person. They want to see you showing up because it's easy for us to go, “Oh other people are doing it. I don't I don't need to do it I don't need to create because somebody else is creating”, or feel like you shouldn't do things the way that you really want to do them or feels most right to you because of how other people are doing it.
But I'm saying when you put that out there, there are people who have been waiting for somebody who looks like you at your skill level with your exact life to to affirm them. It's not about how advanced you are but we can look up to people for so many different reasons. And so if it's hard to show up for yourself, like, if because you want to do it isn't enough, there are people that are waiting to see you and to have their lives changed because you're giving them permission to do it by showing up.
Very inspiring--thank you.
